面倒な子猫 - Troublesome Kitties

Kyo (the fat, lazy, whiny, orange one) and Kratos (the evil, nimble, trouble-making, black one) are doing great. They continue to develop their character with new skills, quirks, and habits. The most profound and troublesome being Kratos' ability to open doors. Of course I should mention these are handled doors, not knobs. Unfortunately they don't lock. It started out as incessant batting at the handle until something would happen and he could pry the door open. Over time he became much more precise, taking a few bats then entering. It took him a while but at some point he was able to open handles on either side of the door. Winter came along and we couldn't have a kitty letting all the heat out of our room. So we tied a string to both handles over the door so that it can't go down. Well at some point he figured out how to bat the string off the handle then bat the handle down to open the door. So now we have to be conscience of which side of the door he's on and the side facing him must have the string flush to the door. This works for now, but he has mastered his skill enough to where, if we forget, he can open the door silently. We only realize it is open when the cold air hits us or something furry rubs up against our legs.

Kratos and boxes/bags: If he can fit, he gets in. If he can't, he tries. Always.

A trouble-maker by trade, we can barely keep him from eating rubber bands. We don't care to think of what he would do outside beyond a leash. He is surprisingly well-behaved and adventurous while the fat one morphs into a paperweight the moment he's leashed.

They like to fight and squabble but winter nights make them best friends.

Kitty Kompilation!
